Everything about Electoral District Of Castle Hill totally explained
Castle Hill is an
electoral district of the
Legislative Assembly in the
Australian state of
New South Wales, formed during the redistribution in
2004. It is an urban electorate in
Sydney's outer west, taking in the suburbs of
Castle Hill,
Carlingford and
West Pennant Hills. There were 45,240 electors enrolled in the district at the time of the redistribution.
The electorate replaced the previously existing electorate of
The Hills, which was abolished at the time of its creation. It was first contested at the
2007 election, when it was won by
Liberal Michael Richardson, previously the member for The Hills. As with its predecessor electorate, Castle Hill is considered a safe seat for the Liberal Party.
